sometimes it feels like there's a fascist in my head telling me that i'm the virus, that corona is the vaccine of the earth
and i don't mean to sound naive, i know that we ain't always lived in peace or harmony
i know that we've abused the land and i know that we've treated it like trash, time and time again

but i ain't gonna let this death cult of an economy force me to believe that i or any other form of life don't deserve to live, that we'd be better off without us around
no i don't buy into that bull shit, you know we've never even tried to organize society based on equity
what makes you so sure the only answer is mass genocide?
what makes you think we couldn't fix this if we tried?

sometimes i don't wanna look at or be seen by the world because i'm horrified at what we done and what we still do to one another
so many people seem to think this virus is an excuse to close the border, to keep the other out
so many people eager to watch each other suffer without blinking an eye

if we are the problem, then we are the solution, too
